Important: Space-Plug Is Not the Wall Anchor
Space-Plug bridges the gap between the cabinet and wall. The screw, wall anchor, wall plug or other fixing must still be suitable for the wall construction and installation.
Space-Plug Adjustable Spacer Fixings are intended for suitable floor-standing cabinetry and furniture. They should not be used to support wall-mounted cabinets.
Can Space-Plug Be Used Behind a Cabinet?
Yes, where the cabinet construction and installation are suitable. The same adjustable principle can be used to bridge an appropriate gap between the rear of suitable floor-standing cabinetry and the wall.
The important factor isn't whether the fixing is at the side or rear. The cabinet needs an appropriate structural fixing point, the wall needs a suitable fixing location and the gap must fall within an appropriate Space-Plug adjustment range.
Do You Always Need an Adjustable Spacer?
No. If a floor-standing cabinet can be correctly secured directly to the wall, an adjustable spacer may add no benefit.
